Modipress users were brilliant at creating blog posts on the go, but many were working on client projects and needed a proper way to showcase their work. The app only supported standard posts, which meant everything ended up in the blog feed — not ideal when you’re trying to maintain a professional portfolio alongside your content.
I extended the app’s content creation flow to support WordPress portfolio items as a distinct content type. Now when users tap ‘New’, they can choose between creating a post or a portfolio item. The feature integrates with WordPress’s custom post types, so it works with any theme that supports portfolios — you just need to enable it on your site.
This gives Modipress users the flexibility to manage both their blog and their portfolio entirely from their phone. You can voice-draft a case study while commuting, edit it with AI assistance, and publish it as a portfolio piece — all without touching a laptop. Events are next on the roadmap, following the same pattern.
