Portfolio Items: Separating Projects from Posts
Modipress started as a way to publish blog posts from your phone. But not everything you create is an article. Field workers, contractors, and project-based businesses needed a way to document their work without cluttering up their blog feed.
We built a new endpoint specifically for portfolio items. It works exactly like publishing a post — speak into your phone, let the AI draft it, edit if needed — but it publishes to a separate portfolio section in WordPress instead of your main blog.
The benefit is organisational. Your blog stays focused on articles and updates. Your portfolio shows off completed projects. Both live in WordPress, both created from the same mobile app, but they don’t compete for attention.
It’s currently in internal testing, which means we’re using it ourselves before rolling it out. Early signs suggest it makes life easier for anyone who needs to maintain both editorial content and a portfolio of work — without switching tools or compromising either.
